Auto Drip

We use Bonavita 5cup cone basket and 8cup flat basket styled automatic brewers.
We use Melitta bleached paper filters, and Coffee Sock cloth filters.
Adjust grind to accommodate a different brewer shape, or filter style.

Dose coffee, grind to desired setting
Wet filter, discard that water
Fill brewer with desired water volume
Fill filter with grounds, settle bed of grounds
Brew!
(Go make toast, eggs or pancakes)
Enjoy!

If you don't love how it tastes:

Time brew to compare with recipe.
Adjust more or less coffee in basket to optimize flow rate
(Flat basket brewers are usually designed to be brewing at maximum capacity)

Pour Over

We use origami drippers, which fit v60, kalita wave 185, and chemex 6 cup filters.
We usually use white bleached paper v60 filters
and Coffee Sock cloth v60 shaped filters
Adjust grind to accommodate a different brewer shape, or filter style.

Fill kettle with desired water volume, heat Kettle
Dose coffee, grind to desired setting
Wet filter, discard that water
Fill filter with grounds, settle bed of grounds
Brew!
Scatter pour lightly to bloom, equal parts water to coffee, wait 20 seconds.
Bloom a second time.
Medium and heavy filling pour to lift grounds and set water slurry depth
Filling pour should hit 50% of your final water volume.
Slow and light pours to refill but not raise slurry depth
Pour and rinse the outside dry grounds on final pour
Aim to be done pouring water 30-45 seconds before desired brew time

Enjoy!!

If you don't love how it tastes:

Time brew to compare with recipe.
Adjust how fast or slow you do the filling pour.
Setting an appropriate slurry depth is key for setting desired flow rate.
(Bigger slurry, faster flow, Smaller slurry, slower flow)
